The locations are on the Gianicolo hill, walking distance, only 450m from each other,slightly uphill. Its a panoramic view so we highly suggest stopping in front of the Fontanone to take pictures

We will provide transportation for those who prefer it.

La chiesa e la villa si trovano sul colle del Gianicolo, raggiungibili a piedi, a soli 450m l'una dall'altra. Essendo il percorso panoramico ma in leggera salita, metteremo a disposizione mezzi di trasporto per chi lo desidera. Le foto davanti al fontanone sono un must ;)

OUR STORY

Set in a warm and sunny Dublin, our story begins with 2 starry eyed new grads starting their first real job at Google in 2016.

They soon mastered the art of working hard and partying harder, surrounded by amazing colleagues that were destined to become great friends.

It wasn't long before they spotted each other in the office corridors, thanks to Francis's bad jokes and Ludo's contagious smile, the spark was inevitable.

Francis finally decided to ask Ludo on a date following a Halloween party.

He showed creativity with his ''normal human'' outfit whilst she had opted for an attractive ''minion'' fleece onesie. Thanks to Google, we stopped searching and found exactly what we were looking for.

Fast forward to many adventures later, on Easter day 2023 Francis surprised Ludo asking her to "perhaps maybe consider" marrying him on a beautiful terrace overlooking the sea in Ravello, Amalfi Coast, a place that is also dear to her and her family.

After living in 2 countries, +250 flights and +65,000 km travelled together, 1.5 years long distance and countless laughs, here we are excited and ready to celebrate this special day with you!

Accomodation

You can find many hotels and Airbnbs in the center of Rome, the location is in Gianicolo hill, adjacent to the Trastevere neighborhood, which is known as one of the most famous touristic areas.

Please note that July is high season so we strongly recommend booking months in advance.

The following hotels are walking distance from church and venue:

• Grand Hotel Gianicolo - 2min walk, 150 m from Villa Aurelia - has a pool ;)
  
• Donna Camilla Savelli - 11 min walk, 550m from Villa Aurelia
• Hotel Parrasio - 8 min walk, 400m from Villa Aurelia - has only 7 rooms available and a rooftop bar
  
• UNA Hotel Trastevere - 15 min walk, involves more steps uphill

We suggest to stay closer to the hotel as taxis may be hard to find in the evening, from the Villa they are all downhill

Dress code

Cocktail - Gentlemen can wear suit and tie, ladies please avoid the color purple and total black/white look. We also suggest comfortable shoes as the location has a garden and pebble walkways.

Food and dietary requirements

Please indicate any special requirements in the RSVP form or communicate them to us in advance

Transportation

If you're coming by plane you can land in Fiumicino (FCO) or Ciampino (CIA).

Fiumicino Airport is better served in terms of transportation to city center and Termini Station with the Leonardo Express that departs every 15 mins.

By train you can arrive at Roma Termini, main train station.

Parking at the venue and Taxi’s

There are a few parking spots close to the church and to the venue - church and venue are walking distance. Please note that if coning with your own car there are no traffic zones in the area (ZTL) which start in Trastevere . Concerning taxi’s we suggest booking them in advance as they might be difficult to find in the evening at the end of the event

How do I go from Church to Reception venue?

Both locations are situated in centre of Rome, on the Gianicolo hill. San Pietro in Montorio is only 450m from Villa Aurelia meaning you can easily walk past the ''Fontanone del Gianicolo'' to the reception location.

Dress code : Abito scuro- Chiediamo alle signore di evitare il colore viola (oltre al total white o total black).

Allergie o intolleranze : Chiediamo di indicarci in anticipo attraverso il form o via whatsapp qualora ci fossero necessità particolari (es. intolleranza glutine/latticini/noci etc)

Parcheggio

• Venendo da Trastevere: controllare status ZTL, si può parcheggiare sia sulla strada davanti al piazzale della chiesa (Via Garibaldi)
• Venendo dal Lungotevere/Salita di Sant’Onofrio: non c’è ZTL se si sale verso terrazza del Gianicolo passando da Salita Sant’Onofrio. Si può parcheggiare sulla strada adiacente alla Villa - passeggiata del Gianicolo
